While I find this brand to be fairly average to above average in general, I did think the B Up cinnamon roll was one of their better flavors and more enjoyable. It’s a pretty simple bar taste wise and doesn’t do much with its flavor, but it is faithful to the cinnamon roll flavor and does a decent enough job with it.
B Up Cinnamon Roll Review
The B Up cinnamon roll bar totals out to 170 calories with the macros of 20p/28c/4f in addition to 20g fiber. The macros for this bar are flat out amazing. The 4g of fat for a protein bar with this high of protein and fiber count is almost unheard of. Like the other flavors of B-Up, the protein comes from whey protein isolate and milk protein isolate. All in all, from a nutritional and macro-friendly standpoint, the B Up cinnamon roll bar is about as good as it can get.
Like most other B Up flavors though, it has an extremely soft and dough-like texture that causes it to lose shape very easily, and it will even fall downwards if you were to hold it straight out in front of you. This doesn’t affect the actual flavor though, which isn’t particularly outstanding but isn’t bad by any means either. It’s got a good cinnamon taste to it which lends well with the dough-like texture as it mimics the softness of an actual cinnamon roll.
The B Up cinnamon roll is one of the better cinnamon flavored protein bars out there, but not the best. Because of its great macros, low fat and high fiber count though, it is a bar I could see myself coming back to on the rare occasion when I feel like switching it up. I don’t think the taste is good enough to be a consistent staple, but good enough to warrant a purchase here and there.
