OhYeah One Birthday Cake Review

Godly. Divine. Celestial. All words that can be used to describe this holy package of nutrients with its angelic-white coating… Otherwise known as an OhYeah One Birthday Cake bar. I’ve heard good things about the birthday cake flavor of OhYeah One bars, but words can only do so much until the taste is experienced firsthand. And man I tell you… What an omnipotent taste.

One bar totals in at 220 calories with the macros 21p/24c/7f in addition to 9g of fiber. The nutritional profile isn’t too bad; the macros are pretty good and the calories are maybe a tad above average for a protein bar, but the taste definitely justifies it. I do wish the fiber count was higher, but it is what it is. The protein comes from whey protein isolate and milk protein isolate which are always welcome sources. It it important to note that this bar does contain 10g of sugar alcohol though. This doesn’t bother me as it doesn’t affect permanent fat loss/gain at all but I do know that some people complain about sugar alcohol giving them some stomach discomfort or a temporary bloat. It is included in the carbohydrate count for the bar, so it means nothing from a flexible dieting standpoint.

This may be going out on a limb as I’ve only tried a few of these at this point so maybe I’m blinded by the freshness of it, but this is the best tasting protein bar I’ve ever had. OhYeah! definitely nailed the birthday cake flavor and did it absolute justice. Some protein bars claim a unique flavor but what they actually give you is a slight chemically-tasted resemblance to the flavor, but not the true flavor itself. This **** actually tastes like a birthday cake, and an awesome one at that. It’s a very soft texture that is just dense enough to chew through effectively; it’s quite a bit softer compared to a Quest bar to give you an idea. The flavor is sweet enough and rich that it tastes like an actual candy bar, but it’s not TOO sweet like some real life candy bars can be.

The only other slight negative I can think of about this bar is that because of the abundance of sprinkles on top of it, if you’re not pretty careful in how you eat the bar it can be kind of messy as the sprinkles have the potential to easily fall off. A minor complaint though, and as long as you’re not a savage or barbarian when eating then this shouldn’t be too big of an issue.

Overall, I absolutely LOVED the OhYeah One Birthday Cake Bar. I almost feel that the word ‘love’ isn’t strong enough and that I need to create a new word that stands for a stronger form of love just to use once and only once in this very specific situation. That sounds like a lot of work though when I could better use that time to buy more of these bars and devour them. These will definitely be a consistent staple in my diet as far as protein bars go in the future. Thank you OhYeah! for blessing us mere humans with this otherworldly sensation of flavors to satisfy our palates to the utmost pinnacle.
