The One line of OhYeah bars have really been impressing me lately. Amazing taste, good protein sources and decent fiber content have made for some really enjoyable treats. I had only tried the birthday cake and the cookie dough flavors up until this point, but as a big fan of peanut butter, I figured the OhYeah One peanut butter pie bar was right up my alley.
OhYeah One Peanut Butter Pie Review
And right up my alley it was. One of the best tasting protein bars I’ve ever had, especially in the peanut butter flavor. In fact maybe even THE best peanut butter based protein bar that I’ve had the pleasure of trying. Like the cookie dough flavor, the appearance isn’t much to look at but DAMN does the taste deliver. Very strong peanut buttery taste that has a nice balanced texture; not too soft and not too hard. There aren’t any mix-ins throughout the bar, but the bar doesn’t really need it as the immensely enjoyable taste and the pleasant texture are more than enough to send this to the upper echelon of protein bars.
The OhYeah One peanut butter pie bar totals out to 220 calories consisting of the macros 22p/23c/8f in addition to 10g of fiber. A little higher on the calories side but with a peanut butter flavor it’s to be expected. This bar is worth every single calorie though, as the flavor is quite excellent combined with a sound nutritional profile.
Overall, the OhYeah One peanut butter pie was a top flavor that I can see myself coming back to. I don’t think I would rank it alongside the birthday cake flavor, but I’d say it’s on the same level as the cookie dough flavor or a small notch below. Good protein sources, decent fiber count and an amazing taste make this an easy recommendation.
+Incredible, strong and accurate PB flavor
+Very soft texture
+Whey protein isolate
