Arctic Zero Snickerdoodle Review

Arctic Zero Snickerdoodle

While Arctic Zero in general is largely unimpressive in taste and literally their ONLY selling factor is their low calories and good macros, some of their recent 300 calorie pints have done a little bit to break away from that and actually churn out some decent tasting flavors. The Arctic Zero snickerdoodle dandy is one of those flavors and easily one of their best yet, if not they’re best.

Arctic Zero Snickerdoodle

A big part of what makes ice cream so awesome to me are the mix-ins that add a nice balance in texture and something a bit crunchier to chew on in combination with the soft ice cream. This is part of reason why a lot of Arctic Zero 150 calorie pints aren’t very good, and why Halo Top as a brand isn’t as good as Enlightened. With their 300 calorie pints it seems they have finally realized that most people would gladly sacrifice a little extra calories for a more tasty experience, and the Arctic Zero snickerdoodle dandy flavor is no exception. The base of the ice cream is good for Arctic Zero standards and one of the best of their flavors, but still not very good compared to its competition. It really benefits from letting it sit for awhile to get a little melty, just like all the other flavors as well. The highlights of this pint are easily the snickerdoodle cookies though, and fortunately they are pretty abundant. They aren’t the absolute best snickerdoodle cookie mix-ins in the world, but given the low calories and how they compare to the ice cream itself, they are pretty good.

Arctic Zero SnickerdoodleThe Arctic Zero snickerdoodle dandy flavor totals out to 300 calories PER PINT consisting of the macros 12p/44c/6f in addition to 12g fiber. Some of their pints do only have 150 calories per pint, however they don’t taste nearly as good as this one so the extra calories are justified. While the calories are absolutely incredibly considering it’s for a whole pint, the macros aren’t as amazing as they could be. I’m a little spoiled by Enlightened now, since their sea salt caramel flavor only contains 320 calories per pint and has 28g protein, plus tastes a lot better as well. That’s just comparing it to the best of the best though so regardless, the macros and calories are excellent for this and its main selling point.

Arctic Zero Snickerdoodle

The cookies are easily the best parts of the whole pint.

This is easily one of the best flavors Arctic Zero has to offer, and out of the ones I’ve tried so far I would rank it as the second best, right behind cookie dough. I just really enjoyed the cookie dough mix-ins so much in that flavor that it propelled it to the top for me, even if the base ice cream in the snickerdoodle flavor is a little bit better. If I make the decision to revisit Arctic Zero again in the future, this is likely one of the flavors I would come back to. However, with Enlightened being only 20-100 calories more per pint but more than double the amount of protein/fiber than Arctic Zero 300 calorie pints contain, plus all the while being INSANELY GOOD, I got to say that it will be extremely difficult for me to find a reason to come back to Arctic Zero.
