This is my fifth experience with this brand of ice cream pints, and the fifth time I’ve went to bed extremely happy that night on a full stomach. The Enlightened caramel oatmeal cookie crunch is quite utterly amazing, if I’m being totally honest. Enlightened is so consistent, it’s ridiculous.
Enlightened Caramel Oatmeal Cookie Crunch Review
The Enlightened caramel oatmeal cookie crunch flavor is like the sea salt caramel on steroids. It does everything that flavor does but better on every level. A similar caramel base ice cream is back as well as the caramel swirl, which I actually found to be more abundant in the caramel oatmeal cookie. It could have just been my specific pint though. Regardless, those caramel swirls are breathtakingly DELICIOUS and are the real highlights of this pint. The oatmeal cookies are extremely tasty as well though, and that’s what makes this flavor so much better than the sea salt caramel. Not only do the oatmeal cookies add a nice texture to the creamy ice cream, but the oatmeal flavor is an awesome taste to complement the base ice cream. It’s also a nice change from the typical chocolate chips that’s in most of the other pints, which aren’t quite as chewy or flavorful in my opinion.
One WHOLE PINT of Enlightened caramel oatmeal cookie crunch totals out to 400 calories consisting of the macros 28p/72c/12f in addition to 20g of fiber. This is tied with the peanut butter chocolate chip and the cookie dough flavors as the most calories per pint. A minor con, but with as much mix-ins as it has, I only expected it.
Another flavor tried in this line of ice cream pints, and another huge success. The Enlightened caramel oatmeal cookie crunch delivered on all the right notes and was a VERY enjoyable treat. I’ll have to try this and some other flavors again to say exactly, but I’m thinking this might be my 2nd favorite flavor right behind the peanut butter and slightly above the cookie dough. I don’t know for sure, but I do know that this flavor was absolutely excellent and is without a doubt a definite recommendation.
