The Quest chocolate brownie is a fairly basic flavor, but that doesn’t mean that it’s bad by any means. It’s actually a really tasty bar and in my top half of Quest bar flavors for sure. It just lacks mix-ins unfortunately, but it still pulls off what it has quite well.
Quest Chocolate Brownie Review
Quest is pretty consistent with their chocolate flavors, and the Quest chocolate brownie bar is no exception. This really nails the rich, fudge-like taste of brownies that we all know and love. I do wish they would have added some chocolate chips for a crunchier texture here and there, but I understand that it would have raised the calories as well and in all honesty, it’s not necessarily needed for this bar given the brownie flavor is good enough on its own to carry it. The lack of mix-ins does make the bar a bit uneventful, but it also lowers the fat content so I’m more likely to revisit this flavor on occasion when my calories are super low.
The Quest chocolate brownie bar totals out to 170 calories consisting of the macros 20p/22c/7f in addition to 15g fiber. 170 calories, 7g fat and 15g fiber are some of the very best numbers Quest has to offer in those categories so the nutritional profile for this bar is outstanding. Out all of the Quest flavors that only contain 7g fat and 170 calories, this is probably the best tasting one.
While I can’t say this is a top 5 flavor for me, I can say that the Quest chocolate brownie is definitely a top 10. With no mix-ins though, there’s just no way it could compete with some of the best Quest flavors that also have an amazing tasting base combined with mix-ins. Out of the all Quest bars that don’t have mix-ins though, this is debatably the very best one. Tying with some other Quest bar flavors for the lowest fat content and caloric intake make this one an easy recommendation.
