White chocolate raspberry isn’t my absolute flavor, but I do generally enjoy protein bars and other products based on the flavor. I’ve already had this bar a bunch of times in the past before I wrote this Quest white chocolate raspberry review, so I definitely knew what to expect.
Quest White Chocolate Raspberry Review
What I expected was a wonderful take on the white chocolate raspberry flavor which is exactly what this bar gave me. I do think that this is one of the better Quest bars out there, I would probably say this is a top 5-6 flavor for me actually. It’s not as chocolatey as Combat Crunch’s version of the flavor is, but when you do get a bite with a white chocolate chunk it just makes it that much more delicious. The Combat Crunch bar may be a bit more consistent with each bite, but this bar reaches higher ‘highs’ when you get that piece of white chocolatey goodness. There are some smaller raspberry chunks as well, but they don’t do too much to the flavor/texture since you never really know when you’re eating them and the bar on its own already has a raspberry flavor. Even though I normally do prefer more chocolate in my Quest bars, I will say that this bar finds a great balance between still giving you that sweet chocolate taste that we all love, but breaking up the sweetness with a more milder, fruity flavor of the raspberry coming into play.
The calories for the white chocolate raspberry flavor total out to 200 calories consisting of the macros 20p/21c/9f in addition to 14g fiber. This is one of the rare Quest bars that actually hits the 200 mark in calories, so that is pretty unfortunate actually. I think there might be a few flavors that are a little bit higher, but this is definitely one of the top 3-4 highest.
Quest has another hit on their hands with their white chocolate raspberry flavor. It’s a unique take on the flavor and it’s executed pretty well. It’s not overly chocolatey which isn’t the most ideal in theory, but they make it work by balancing the flavors really nicely. I do think that the Combat Crunch version is a tad bit more enjoyable overall, but if you like a milder, less chocolatey approach with more focus on raspberry, I could see how some people would prefer the Quest bar instead. If you’re still on the fence like I was about trying the flavor even after reading this Quest white chocolate raspberry review, give it a shot anyway and just see what you think firsthand. I know I was glad I did.
