Lenny & Larry’s are a pretty cool brand that focus on healthy cookies/brownies that contain a high amount of protein and fiber. I’ve had one of their brownies in the past, but it was such a long time ago that I don’t really remember how it tasted. I’ve never tried one of their cookies though, so I decided to try the Snickerdoodle Complete Cookie as an introduction to their line of cookies.
Snickerdoodle Complete Cookie Review
It was a very good introduction. The Snickerdoodle Complete Cookie was a definite hit and really stayed true to that iconic snickerdoodle flavor. The cookie was soft in texture, but not too soft to where it was overly crumbly. It found a great balance between being just the right amount of chewy.
The calories and macros are a little deceiving with the Snickerdoodle Complete Cookie, which is kind of annoying upon first glance. The total calories for one cookie is 360 calories consisting of the macros 16p/54c/8f in addition 8g of fiber. The packaging claims to have 16g of protein per the whole cookie, which is true, but the cookie is actually split up into two servings so the nutrition facts on the back are only for ½ the cookie which only contains 8g protein. As you can see, the whole cookie really isn’t that low in calories and is quite high actually. The protein count really isn’t that high either compared to how many carbs are in it. It is a hell of a lot healthier and higher protein than a normal cookie though and almost tastes as good, so the higher calories are slightly justified.
I was pleased with my experience in trying the Snickerdoodle Complete Cookie. The macros really aren’t that great which is unfortunate, but it’s healthy and tasty enough that I can see myself returning to it on occasion, especially when my calories are a bit higher in a gaining phase. It has me eager to try out their other flavors as well, so it definitely made some sort of impression on me.
+Great taste and texture
-High in calories, high in carbs
Recommended: Yes, maybe not in an intense caloric deficit
