White chocolate is perhaps my least favorite form of chocolate (that’s not to say I don’t like it though), and I’m not the biggest macadamia fan or nut guy in general. Bearing that in mind, I did have some reservations in trying this flavor out. I was pleasantly surprised though as I found myself to end up thoroughly enjoying this cookie! White Chocolate Macadamia Complete Cookie Review
If there’s one thing that Lenny & Larry’s does right across the boards with all of their Complete Cookies, it’s texture. Some are a little bit softer or harder than others, but for the most part they’re all fairly similar. They remain firm on the outside and maintain shape well, but as soon as you bite into one it becomes very soft and chewy. This cookie was no exception to that. The actual flavor of the cookie was quite pleasant as well; it was like a mix of vanilla and white chocolate which complemented each other very nicely. There is a far stronger white chocolate flavor in this cookie was opposed to macadamia, so I was very pleased to find that out. Both white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts are spread throughout, but there are a lot more white chocolate chips than there are nuts. I was worried I would’t like this cookie as much because I thought the macadamia taste would be too strong, so I was happy to discover that it was barely even a factor.
The whole cookie totals out to 360 calories consisting of the macros 16p/48c/12f in addition to 8g fiber. I’m pretty sure this flavor is tied with a couple others for having the least amount of calories out of the whole Complete Cookie line, so that was awesome to see. The serving size is only a ½ cookie, but if you’ve read my other reviews on their cookies you’ll know my thoughts on that. What I start, I must finish.
As the White Chocolate Macadamia Complete Cookie review comes to an end, I gather some final reflections. This flavor definitely surpassed my expectations of how I thought it was going to taste. The white chocolate was delicious but not too overpowering or rich, but it was overpowering enough to take the spotlight away from the macadamia taste. With that being said and even though I did enjoy this one more than I thought I would, I still didn’t like it as much as some of their other flavors. Off the top of my head, this wouldn’t be in my top 5. For what it was, it did get the job done. When I feel the urge for a Complete Cookie in the future though, I’m way more likely to turn to other flavors.
