Arctic Zero Cappuccino Review

If you’ve read my other reviews, it’s no surprise about how I feel about most of the 150 calorie flavors from Arctic Zero. Some of them I’ve found to be pretty decent actually, like their Poppin’ Pomegranate and Cake Batter for example. For the most part though, they’re largely a miss. I had definite skepticism with that in mind going into the Arctic Zero Cappuccino pint, but maybe the bold flavor of the coffee could make this one okay.

Arctic Zero Cappuccino

Eh… It was just okay, I guess… At best. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m getting deeper into prep so my taste buds are easier to please, but I didn’t hate it like how I felt about certain Arctic Zero flavors a couple months ago. It still wasn’t very good though. The coffee taste is somewhat there, but it’s not as strong as I was hoping. When it comes down to it, it’s still typical Arctic Zero ice cream, with a hint of coffee-like flavor. So….. Nothing spectacular.

Arctic Zero CappuccinoThe Arctic Zero Cappuccino flavor totals out to 150 calories for the whole pint consisting of the macros 12p/28c/0f in addition to 8g fiber. Like all other Arctic Zero flavors, the insane macros are really the only reason you would ever buy these products. If you’re not in a caloric deficit or dieting for a contest or photo shoot, I really don’t see why you would turn to these when you could just get Edy’s/Dreyer’s Slow Churned line for a bit higher macros but FAR superior taste (and way more cost efficient).

Overall, the Arctic Zero Cappuccino flavor did nothing to change my mind about their ice cream. It can be great from a satiety standpoint when you’re dieting as the macros are pretty good to boot, so I do respect the company for that, but overall from a flavor standpoint, it’s a definite failure. Even though it has the edge on its competition in overall lower calories with Enlightened and Halo Top, it’s still hard to recommend as those brands just taste that MUCH better that the extra calories are worth it in my opinion.

Arctic Zero Cappuccino

Looks good, but sadly isn’t really.

+150 calories for the WHOLE PINT

+12g protein, 8g protein for the whole pint

-In comparison to actual ice cream, doesn’t taste good at all

-Not as good as Enlightened or Halo Top

Recommended: Only if you’re in an extreme caloric deficit

Overall Rating: D+
