Protein bars are definitely a thing, and have been for awhile. Protein cookies are starting to become a thing though, as I’m seeing more and more of them pop up as the years and months go by. I am more than okay with this though, as being able to get my protein intake through the form of a classic cookie is A-okay in my books. I think Lenny & Larry’s is the top dog on the market when it comes to protein cookies, but they’ve also been around the longest and have had more time to establish themselves. That certainly doesn’t mean there’s no room for some competition though, it might bring out the very best each company has to offer now since they’re not the only ones out there doing it. I welcome the rivalries. Now with all that being said, let’s see how the Boundless Nutrition Peanut Butter Perfect Cookie actually stacks up.
Boundless Nutrition Peanut Butter Perfect Cookie Review
First thing to note is that this cookie is clearly smaller than basically all of the competition out there. That’s not really a good or bad a thing, as the macros adjust accordingly to the size of this cookie and aren’t really any better or worse than most of the other protein cookies out there when you take that in mind. If anything though, I think it makes it a bit more convenient since you’re obviously going to eat it all in one sitting. Most of the other protein cookies out there are split into ½ cookie servings which can be kind of annoying, and obviously more caloric dense. Now, on to the actual taste of the cookie. To sum it up; it was good! Honestly, it kind of tasted like a Quest bar in the form of a cookie as far as textures go. The peanut butter flavor was definitely there and fairly accurate I would say. There are some small peanuts and peanut butter chips spread throughout the cookie as well. These don’t do a whole lot to the experience as the peanuts aren’t super crunchy and the peanut butter chips kind of blend in with the peanut butter flavor of the cookie, but they add a nice touch to an otherwise kind of plain cookie.
The Boundless Nutrition Peanut Butter Perfect Cookie totals out to 150 calories consisting of the macros 10p/17c/7f in addition to 4g fiber. As I previously noted, the calories are obviously lower than most of the competition out there due to the size of the cookie. However the macro ratio is a little different than most even with that fact in mind, as the carbs are lower than the fat in comparison to the competing brands. This can be a good or bad thing depending on your specific macro breakdown. For me, it’s kind of a bad thing as I generally prefer a higher carb/lower fat ratio. Still, they aren’t bad by any means as the fat is still fairly low and the carbs are still the highest, I’m just speaking strictly in comparison to other protein cookies out there.
Overall, I found the Boundless Nutrition Peanut Butter Perfect Cookie to be a fairly enjoyable treat. I don’t think it was quite as delicious as the best offerings from Lenny & Larry’s, but due to its smaller size it’s easier to fit in your macros more consistently as it’s even less calories than your standard protein bar. I wasn’t blown away, but I do have some anticipation in trying out their other flavors now. For a quick protein snack in the form of a cookie when you’re on the go, this gets my recommendation.

+Only 150 calories per cookie
+Grass fed whey protein concentrate
