Well, normally I like to save one of the best flavors for last when it comes to trying out new lines of products. Unfortunately, I did not do that with Lenny & Larry’s.. I hate coconuts, so it seemed extremely likely that I wouldn’t be too fond of the Coconut Chocolate Chip Complete Cookie. With that fact in mind, I’m probably not the best person to be reviewing this particular flavor since I’m biased, but here it goes.
Coconut Chocolate Chip Complete Cookie Review
Yeah, definitely not the best person to review this flavor. I was not a fan of the Coconut Chocolate Chip Complete Cookie. The coconut taste wasn’t overly strong, but it was clearly there and was enough to take over the majority of the cookie’s flavor. The chocolate chips in there were pretty standard like usual, not very crunchy but chocolatey for sure. As far as textures go, this flavor was fairly average in comparison to the other Complete Cookie flavors. It’s not as soft as the snickerdoodle or peanut butter flavors, but it is softer compared to flavors like oatmeal raisin and lemon poppy seed. It’s most similar to their original chocolate chip flavor I’d say.
The whole cookie totals out to 360 calories consisting of the macros 16p/44c/16f in addition to 8g fiber. Very interesting macros on the Coconut Chocolate Chip Complete Cookie. First and foremost, it ties for the lowest calories out of all their flavors which is obviously a good thing. Knowing that, it’s no surprise that it contains the lowest amount of carbs compared to all their other flavors, but what is surprising is that is contains the highest amount of fat as well. The low calories are nice, but the high fat is definitely a knock against it in my opinion as I always prefer high carb/low fat over low carb/high fat.
I can’t say I’ll ever be returning to the Coconut Chocolate Chip Complete Cookie. Doing my best trying to look at it from an unbiased perspective, I suppose the taste was executed pretty well if you like coconuts a lot. I don’t however, so of course I wasn’t bound to like it. I suppose it will just come down to that aspect; if you’re a big fan of coconuts then you’ll probably like this cookie, but if you’re not then I would definitely recommend other flavors over this one. Literally every single other flavor actually, seeing as how this was my least favorite one. What a bad flavor to end such a solid line on… Poor planning on my part. Hopefully they’ll come out with a new flavor soon (red velvet anyone??) to offset this feeling of emptiness.
+16g protein per cookie
+Lowest carbs/calories of all their flavors (which is still high)
-Worst flavor, in my opinion
-High in fat/carbs/calories
Overall Rating: C
