Cor-Sport Chocolate Peanut Butter Review

Cor-Sport Chocolate Peanut Butter

So, my second experience with Cellucor’s new protein bars comes with the Cor-Sport Chocolate Peanut Butter bar. The first bar I tried was their cookie dough flavor, and even though it was definitely a Quest knockoff, it was still delicious and the best imitation of Quest bar out there in my opinion. That one lacked originality, but this flavor seems to be way more unique and not a Quest copy at all, based on how on the appearance at least. Hopefully it tastes as good as it looks.

Cor-Sport Chocolate Peanut Butter

The Cor-Sport chocolate peanut butter bar looks very appealing to the eye. It has a peanut butter frosted coating with chocolatey drizzles evenly spread all over it. Presentation factor gets a 10/10 for sure. With an exterior that aesthetic, I figured that the taste HAD to hold up. And it turns out… It did! Even more so than expected to be honest. This bar is just FULL of flavor and all around an awesome treat. The peanut butter coating on the outside is great tasting and creamy, and the chocolate on the inside was milky and smooth. There are also some small peanuts on the inside which add a nice crunch here and there to break up the smoothness and creaminess of the bar. Both the flavors come together nicely to create that classic chocolate peanut butter combination, but I would say the chocolate taste is a little bit stronger overall which is somewhat disappointing. I think the peanut butter is a little bit more flavorful so I would have preferred if the ratios would have been switched. That’s the only minor thing keeping this bar from tasting perfect. Overall though, this flavor is excellent and I get a legitimate candy bar vibe when eating it, so that’s definitely a good thing.

Size Comparison

The Cor-Sport chocolate peanut butter bar totals out to 230 calories consisting of the macros 20p/26c/9f in addition to 10g fiber. A solid protein bar nutritional wise relatively speaking, but it unfortunately it’s not as good as its main competition in Quest and Combat Crunch, but near the same as Oh Yeah! One so it’s not too bad.

Cor-Sport Chocolate Peanut ButterI was definitely satisfied with my second protein bar experience from Cellucor. I would say the Cor-Sport chocolate peanut butter bar was even better than their cookie dough flavor just because it was way more unique. The cookie dough flavor has been done in the same fashion before, but there’s not a creamy chocolate peanut butter protein bar out there quite like this. This bar tasted very similar to the Oh Yeah! One peanut butter pie bar actually, just a weaker peanut butter flavor and more chocolate obviously, but I would still say it’s a slight notch below it. That bar happens to be one of my top 5 protein bars ever however, so to even draw that comparison speaks highly of this bar. The chocolate component makes it distinct enough for me to want to buy again in the future so it has its differences for sure. That bar is just peanut butter flavored though, so as far as chocolate peanut butter flavored protein bars go, I would say this is actually the best on the market ranking it even ahead of Quest and Combat Crunch. Maybe not as good as Fit Crunch, but that’s not really a competing brand since the nutritional profile is so much inferior. If you’re looking for a solid chocolate peanut butter protein bar that gives off a legitimate candy bar and slight Reese’s vibes, then look no further. This is your bar.
