I had very high hopes going into this Fit Crunch Peanut Butter review. I’ve heard nothing but great things about Robert Irvine’s Fit Crunch bars and that they’re possibly the best tasting protein bars in the whole game… That’s saying a lot. Considering the higher fat and higher calories, I could see how that could be true though. However since they are denser in calories, I’ve avoided them for awhile for that reason as I’m near the end of my contest prep. I was very disappointed in Robert Irvine’s more macro friendly Fit Elite bars, but I’m willing to give him another chance since the reception seems overwhelmingly positive. I’m currently 5 weeks out at 1950 calories a day, so every macro is very precious at this point… Please don’t let me down again Robert!
Fit Crunch Peanut Butter Review
Robert heard my concerns, and the dude definitely delivered (except not really because these bars are like 3 years old but I like to make up imaginary scenarios in my head). This bar was flat out AMAZING, to say the the least. I can see why it gets the praise that it does. It has a great combination of textures from a slight crunchy exterior coating, a soft baked center that’s nice and chewy, and some tiny crisps scattered throughout the center of the bar. They all come together to create one fantastic, cohesive package of flavors. The peanut butter flavor isn’t incredibly authentic as it kind of tastes more like Nutter Butter type of peanut butter, like the kind in their peanut butter wafers. Those things are delicious though, so this comparison is a good thing in my eyes.
The Fit Crunch peanut butter bar totals out to 190 calories consisting of the macros 16p/14c/8f in addition to 1g fiber. Yeah… Not the healthiest or most macro friendly bar unfortunately. This bar comes in multiple sizes too, and I got the smaller size actually. I believe the other size is literally double the length which means double the macros. This bar is one of the very best tasting protein bars in the entire industry though, so if you look it as more of an occasional treat rather than a daily staple, it’s not that bad I guess.
I’m pleased to conclude this Fit Crunch Peanut Butter review with overly positive feelings, as I was really hoping that Robert Irvine would deliver and these bars would be worth the hype. Thankfully, everything worked out as I had hoped. The flavor was an absolute home run, and if you love peanut butter and have some extra calories to spare in your diet, definitely give this bar a try. You will not regret it. The only flaw (which is quite big admittedly) is that the macros are not great and there is a lack of fiber, so the nutritional content on this bar is kind of poor to be honest. On taste alone though, this is without a doubt a 100% recommendation.
+INCREDIBLE taste, one of the best in the game easily
+Whey protein isolate
-Only 1g fiber
-Uses some soy protein
-High in calories/fat, not the best nutritional profile
Recommended: Yes (taste alone)
Overall Rating: A+
