This is the second bar that I’m trying in the Fit Elite line… And I’m not too excited about it. The first one I tried was the cookie dough, and I was very disappointed with it. The macros were excellent, but the flavor left a LOT to be desired. I had a strong feeling that the Fit Elite cookies ‘n’ cream flavor was going to be the same way. So… Was I right?
Fit Elite Cookies ‘N’ Cream Review
Unfortunately, yes. From a flavor standpoint this bar pretty much sucked. It had that same weird, cleaner-like after taste to it that the cookie dough flavor had. The actual flavor of this bar was very bland too, I definitely didn’t get a cookies and cream vibe from it. The cookie mix-ins are pretty flavorless and don’t really do much with taste or texture to add to the bar. Speaking of texture, this bar just reminds of me an inferior version of Mission1 bars, which is already an inferior texture to Quest bars.
Now, the good things about this bar. The calories for the Fit Elite cookies ‘n’ cream flavor total out to 20p/24c/5f in addition to 15g fiber. All in all the nutritional profile on this bar is pretty excellent, so it has that going for it at least.
Disappointing. That would be the word I would use to describe my thoughts about the Fit Elite cookies ‘n’ cream bar. For being such an awesome chef and considering his Fit Crunch bars are absolutely delicious (from what I’ve heard at least), for Robert Irvine to churn out a product that tastes like this is just disappointing. You have like 17 shows on the Food Network, I expect more from you flavor wise my dude. I respect your effort in making it macro friendly, but bottom line… This **** has to taste good if you want it to be a staple in people’s diets, and this doesn’t taste good. Back to the drawing board, or the chef’s table.
