The Arctic Zero Cookie Shake pint is one of their newer flavors I believe. It wasn’t released in their latest edition of various new flavors, but it wasn’t part of their original line either. It seems to be one of their more popular 150 calorie flavors though, as it’s one of the flavors I see most often at stores. The flavor sounds delicious on title alone, but I know not to get my hopes up with Arctic Zero.
Arctic Zero Cookie Shake Review
Good thing I didn’t. No real surprise here, but the Arctic Zero Cookie Shake isn’t winning any awards when it comes to best tasting ‘ice cream’. With that said though, I do think it’s one of their best 150 calorie flavors. Perhaps even third, behind the cake batter and poppin’ pomegranate flavor. I’m not really sure what the ‘cookie shake’ is supposed to taste like, but I get a mild cookies & cream like taste from it at least. It’s far from amazing… But for Arctic Zero, it’s okay.
The Arctic Zero Cookie Shake flavor totals out to 150 calories for the whole pint consisting of the macros 12p/28c/0f in addition to 8g fiber. It should go without saying, but the super low caloric content and awesome macros are literally the ONLY reasons you should really ever be looking to buy an Arctic Zero pint.
There’s really not too much to say. I respect what Arctic Zero does from a macronutrient standpoint because their products have helped me a lot on some intense cuts, but in regards to overall flavor, all of their 150 calorie pints just fall short in taste and texture. The Arctic Zero Cookie Shake was one of their better attempts I think, but it still can’t even begin to compare to the competing brands like Halo Top or Enlightened (though those are a bit higher in calories as well).
+150 calories for the WHOLE PINT
+12g protein, 8g fiber for the whole pint
-Compared to real ice cream, not good at all
-Have to let sit/melt for awhile to become more edible
Recommended: Only in an extreme caloric deficit
Overall Rating: D+
