To start my Power Crunch Peanut Butter Creme review, I actually unexpectedly passed by this flavor the first few times I saw it. The packaging looked super similar to some of their other flavors, and I think I just read the first part of the flavor and assumed it was the peanut butter fudge flavor. To my delight though I was happy to discover that this is an entirely different flavor, and looks to have an even stronger peanut butter taste compared to the peanut butter fudge.
Power Crunch Peanut Butter Creme Review
YES. I love being right when it comes to food foreshadowing. The peanut butter flavor was a bit more intense in this one since it wasn’t balanced out by the fudge or anything else, and in my opinion it worked out for the better. It had a very creamy peanut buttery taste and it was pretty damn delicious I must say. The wafer cookie texture is still there reminiscent to sugar wafers and Keebler Elf wafer cookies from your youth, it’s just toned down in sweetness. While this one was a little bit sweeter than their peanut butter fudge flavor, it still wasn’t quite as sweet as I would have liked it to be. I know I’m just used to the the sugary sweetness of the unhealthy wafer cookies though.
The peanut butter crème flavor totals out to 200 calories consisting of the macros 13p/10c/12f in addition to 1g fiber. These are the same exact macros as their peanut butter fudge flavor, and considering I like this one a little bit better as far peanut butter tastes go, this gives me no real reason to re-visit the other peanut butter flavor. Also as you can already tell, the macros on these aren’t very good if you’re on a low fat diet. Like at all. The protein sources are excellent though (hydrolyzed whey and whey protein isolate), so that’s a plus at least.
I’m pleased to end my Power Crunch Peanut Butter Crème review on a positive note as I was very satisfied with my experience. The texture is absolutely on point, much like classic sugar wafer cookies which bring back great memories with each bite. The peanut butter flavor was very delicious, and stronger/sweeter than their peanut butter fudge bar I thought. The high fat and lack of fiber are definitely some flaws, but purely from a taste perspective, you absolutely can’t go wrong with this product if you’re looking for something to satisfy a peanut buttery craving while remaining relatively healthy.
