Tru-Nut Powdered Peanut Butter Review

Tru-Nut powdered peanut butter

After trying out their chocolate and cinnamon flavors, it only makes sense that I would try out the Tru-Nut powdered peanut butter original flavor. Their cinnamon flavor was a huge letdown to say the least, unfortunately… But their chocolate flavor was awesome, and maybe even slightly more creamier than PB2’s version. I expected this one to compare similarly to the original flavor of PB2, but there’s only one way to be sure.

Taste test, obviously. My expectations ended up holding true as well. This tasted extremely comparable to the original flavor of PB2, I don’t think most people would be able to tell a difference to be honest. Like the chocolate flavor, it may be a TAD bit creamier than PB2, but I haven’t had PB2 in awhile so my memory is kind of foggy. The actual flavor is very similar though, and neither product struck me as being decidedly better.

Macronutrient Profile

The Tru-Nut powdered peanut butter totals out to 45 calories per 2 TBSP consisting of the macros 5p/5c/1.5f in addition to 2g fiber. So yeah, basically the same exact macros as PB2 I believe. If you happen to come across them both in stores for the same price then I guess… Flip a coin? Really can’t go wrong either way.

Tru-Nut powdered peanut butterThere’s really not much to say about the Tru-Nut powdered peanut butter that I already haven’t said about PB2 or PB Fit, which are the exact same products essentially. If you’re looking for something similar enough to real peanut butter but with just ΒΌ the calories, then you can’t go wrong with this. I don’t think it really has any clear advantages over the other powdered peanut butter products out there, but it doesn’t have any disadvantages either.
