Yikes… Where to even begin. I’ll just be totally upfront; I was not a fan of the Victory Oatmeal Raisin Cookie bar. At all. I hated it in fact. Like this may even be my least favorite tasting protein bar of all time. It’s SO weird too, because Victory bars are usually decent. They’re nothing legendary, but they’re definitely passable at least and better than a lot out there. This flavor though… Ugh.
Victory Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Review
This is supposed to taste like a oatmeal raisin cookie… but I taste absolutely nothing remotely close to that. I taste no oatmeal, and nothing resembling a cookie. There is sort of a raisin flavor present considering there are some raisin pieces here and there… But it’s completely awful and has a very artificial/fake taste to it. It’s kind of hard to explain what it is exactly… But whatever it is, it’s not good at all. The texture is the same as the other Victory bars, which is decently soft but nothing real amazing. It’s nowhere near enough to make up for the horrible flavor though regardless. It was so bad that after a few bites I decided enough was enough and I had tasted all I needed to taste in order to give a fair review. I wasn’t about to waste my current poverty macros on something so terrible so I threw the rest of it away in the trash… The FIRST time I’ve ever done that with a protein bar.
The Victory Oatmeal Raisin Cookie flavor totals out 200 calories consisting of the macros 21p/28c/6f in addition to 17g fiber. Yeah, the good macros and nutritional content are literally the ONLY things this bar has going for it. These are about the same as all the other Victory flavors though, and considering some of those actually taste good… There’s just no reason at all to come back to this.
Look up ‘abomination’ in the dictionary and you’ll probably find an excerpt describing the Victory Oatmeal Raisin Cookie bar. While the macros and nutritional profile are excellent… The taste is a HUGE letdown in every shape and form. Easily the worst Victory bar flavor, which is already saying a lot considering Victory bars have nothing on most protein bars anyway. One of the worst tasting protein bars I’ve ever had really, if not the worst. I now see why this Victory flavor and this flavor only is always on clearance/sale at various gyms and supplement shops. Under no circumstance do I recommend this bar, because no matter where you’re at I’m sure there will ALWAYS be another protein bar there that tastes MUCH better, even with similar macros.
+Whey protein isolate
-Easily the worst Victory bar, maybe the worst protein bar I’ve ever had
-Fake tasting, not authentic or accurate at all
